24th annual Lawn and Garden Expo slated for March 29

The Ellis County Master Gardener Association hosts its 24th annual Lawn and Garden Expo from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Waxahachie Civic Center. The event will feature demonstrations, vendors, the Master Gardeners’ annual plant sale, and other community resources.

“This event is highly anticipated by all who attend, from Ellis County and other surrounding counties,” the association’s website reads. “Each year, over 2,500 attendees can attend educational sessions, purchase plants, meet vendors, and have the opportunity to ask gardening questions. At our kid’s area, they can make an edible mini micro-green garden, feed the bees seed ball, eat the rainbow bracelet, and more.”

Admission is $5 cash for adults, with children age 12 and younger admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Free tickets are available at the following expo sponsors:

The Ellis County Master Gardener Association supports the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in the community through its annual expo, numerous horticultural classes, speaking engagements, monthly newsletter, and its community and learning gardens. The association also sponsors scholarships, which are funded by the annual expo.
