Bielamowicz of Waxahachie appointed to Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council

AUSTIN – Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed John Bielamowicz of Waxahachie to the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council for a term to expire on Feb. 1, 2031.

The council oversees and regulates the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.

Bielamowicz is a commercial real estate broker and the founder/president of Biel Partners LLC, which specializes in commercial real estate brokerage, investments, and the negotiation and protest of property tax appraisals.

He was previously appointed by Abbott as a public member of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists in 2016 and became chair of that board in 2020 before being reappointed in 2021.

Bielamowicz is a board member of NAIOP North Texas, a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, and serves as a volunteer pilot with Angel Flight South Central. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in real estate from the University of Texas at Arlington and resides in Waxahachie with his wife, Molly Beth, and their sons.

The appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
