Hope Health to host grand opening March 29 at its new Waxahachie facility

Hope Health will host a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, March 29, to celebrate its new Waxahachie facility, offering a reception and tours.

The ceremony will take place from noon-3 p.m.; the event will include a ribbon cutting with area chambers of commerce at noon and opportunities to share the facility with local leaders and community members. The public reception and tours begin at 2 p.m. The new facility is located at 572 Coleman St. off of Farley Street and across from the Waxahachie Police Department.

Kathleen Marshall, Hope Health CEO, said the grand opening will celebrate Hope Health’s past, present, and future.

“We want this to be a celebration of this new chapter, as well as an opportunity to show how much we appreciate the contributions of those whose work brought us to our present,” she said. “Our future is bright because of their passions and commitment, the labor of love of our staff, and the many new opportunities this facility creates for our community.”

Construction began on the 26,000-square-foot facility in December 2022 on land donated by the city of Waxahachie. The facility opened Oct. 28, 2024, with its increased space allowing for greater capacity, including more providers and shorter wait times for appointments.

Hope Health is a patient-centered, federally qualified health center that serves nearly 10,000 people between its Waxahachie and Ennis locations. In addition to accepting commercial health insurance plans and Medicaid/Medicare, those who are uninsured can also receive care – and may qualify for a sliding scale discount.

Hope Health was established as Hope Clinic in 1999 by a coalition of individuals who sought to bridge the gap between the uninsured and underinsured people of Ellis County and quality health care. Hope Clinic rebranded in 2022 to Hope Health as continued growth has enabled the organization to provide a variety of comprehensive health and wellness services to the community.
