Hope Health's new facility opens on Coleman Street, Waxahachie

Hope Health Ellis County's new 26,000-square-foot facility at 572 Coleman St. (off of Farley Street) is home to all the services the nonprofit community health center offers, including adult medical and pediatrics, behavioral health, women’s health, and dental care. The new building has also brought about new amenities, including large meeting areas. There's also an in-house pharmacy in the works.
Kathleen Marshall, CEO of Hope Health, said the new facility is easier for patients to navigate than the former location on East Jefferson Street, from where the organization moved in late October.
“We are confident this new facility will be even more accessible,” Marshall said. “This will allow our organization to serve as a comprehensive medical home for more people in our communities.”
Although Hope Health’s former location had served the organization for several years, the organization’s exponential growth had necessitated a larger, more accessible, and more convenient facility to accommodate more patients and staff.
Ellen Saltzman, who serves as Hope Health board president, said board members are proud to support the organization’s work and its staff.
“We are delighted that those who serve our patients each day will now do so in this new building, which reflects the size of their heart and the quality of care that they have always demonstrated,” Saltzman said.

The project’s capital campaign began in 2020 and raised more than $1.5 million with support from community donations and public grants. The land was donated by the city of Waxahachie.
“Thanks to your support, we can continue to compassionately care for all who seek care at our facility,” Marshall said.
Hope Health is a patient-centered, federally qualified health center that serves nearly 9,000 patients per year between its Waxahachie and Ennis locations. In addition to accepting most commercial health insurance plans and Medicaid/Medicare, those who are uninsured can also receive care – and may qualify for a sliding scale discount, depending on income and household size.
Hope Health was established as Hope Clinic in 1999 by a coalition of individuals who sought to bridge the gap between the uninsured and underinsured people of Ellis County and quality health care. Hope Clinic rebranded in 2022 to Hope Health as the services provided have enabled the organization to provide a variety of health and wellness services to the community.
