Saturday’s Coffee Crawl to showcase downtown Waxahachie’s offerings
The Waxahachie Coffee Crawl takes place downtown from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

The Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association is hosting a Coffee Crawl to kick off its slate of activities for 2025. The free event, slated for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 18, invites the community to enjoy not only the different coffee stops scattered through the city’s historic downtown but also everything else the area offers, from shopping antiques to home décor to the different restaurants and much more.

“Join us for the Waxahachie Coffee Crawl and indulge in 12 coffee stops, three dessert spots, and endless local charm, all for free,” the association wrote in its Facebook community invite. “Grab your friends, sip some delicious brews, and discover downtown’s best-kept secrets.”

Why visit downtown and take part?

The association points out it’s a great way to enjoy a self-guided tour of downtown while enjoying coffee and treats with friends and family. You can “also discover your next favorite coffee shop or dessert spot,” the community invite notes.

The participating stores (all within an easy walk from each other – see the map posted lower in this post) serving up coffee and or treats include:

Blume Boutique – iced caramel macchiato

Sweet Peas Boutique

Fifteen – drip hot coffee bar with flavored syrups by Bloom & Pour

Press Juice Bar at TX Cryoworks – Kangen drip and signature Kangen Cryobrew

Prickly Boba – signature salted caramel iced coffee with coffee boba

Savvy Boheme – zero-proof Café Martini with Take the Edge Off adaptogen

ThatGibson – vanilla cinnamon Baileys (spiked)

The 1408 Boutique – amaretto coffee (spiked)

The Oily Bar Soapery – brown sugar shaken cold brew

The Southern Mercantile – wine-infused or bourbon-infused coffee (spiked)

Westbound Trading Co. – pecan praline coffee

With Willing Hands Antiques – Telegraph drip coffee by Vitas

Serving up desserts will be:

CB & CO – cookie treats from Bittersweet

Farmhouse – baked goods to include cinnamon rolls, mini pecan muffins, and chocolate cookies

The Velvet Angel Boutique – a variety of different kinds of donut holes

“It’s a perfect start to the new year,” the association added.

WDMA was formed in the late 1990s and has since grown to a membership of more than 50 businesses and organizations. The nonprofit’s mission is to “make downtown a beautiful, safe, viable, and profitable location for the community to shop, dine and attend sponsored events. We encourage economic growth and success while supporting fellow members through peer referrals, shared ideas, and best practices resulting in community awareness and professional development.”
