Scarborough Renaissance Festival: Now hiring for its 2025 season

Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie is hiring for its 2025 season, which will run Saturdays, Sundays, and Memorial Day Monday, April 5-May 26, with hours from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

“Come join Scarborough Renaissance Festival for the most fun you’ll ever have at work,” the festival wrote in an email blast. “We offer employee discounts, opportunities for advancement, and much more.”

The seasonal, part-time positions include food and beverage sales, cooks and kitchen help, special events, souvenir sales, front gate and ticket office personnel, grounds crew, and more.

Costumed and non-costumed positions are available. Applicants are required to have two forms of ID and must be at least 16 years of age, with most jobs having higher age requirements.

“When you are hired as an employee at Scarborough Renaissance Festival, you are expected to be available to work the eight festival weekends and Memorial Day,” the festival notes on its website. “Employees/participants must be neatly groomed at all times and avoid extremes in jewelry, hairstyles, and hair color. Guest contact positions require a period costume.”

After submitting the online application, applicants will be contacted for an interview. A job fair for new employees is slated for Feb. 22, with a mandatory orientation set for March 29.

Each year, Scarborough Renaissance Festival, located at 2511 Farm-to-Market 66, draws more than 200,000 visitors to its recreated 16th-century English village that celebrates the era of King Henry VIII and his royal court, while featuring dozens of entertainers, artisans, and more.
