Sports and shopping celebration slated for Feb. 8
The Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association will host a Super Stroll from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. (The National Football League’s annual Super Bowl is slated for Sunday, Feb. 9). Community members are invited to wear their favorite team colors and jerseys and to shop downtown during the signature event.
“Celebrate the coming sports weekend with some fun shopping deals (and snag a last-minute Valentine’s gift,” the association wrote on its Facebook event page. “Whether you’re a shopping fan, a sports fan, or a downtown strolling fan, there is something for everyone.”
Described as a “once a year sports and shopping celebration,” the event will include a random drawing in which the association will give away five $30 gift cards and a $75 gift card that can be used at any WDMA member business.
Follow the rules below to enter the giveaway:
• Make a purchase at any participating WDMA store
• Take a selfie with you, your purchase, and the store you purchased it from
• Post the selfie to your Facebook feed, tag WDMA, and the store where you made the purchase
The winner will be randomly selected from participants who meet all the rules.
