Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas recently held its Empowering Excellence Awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of its partners and individuals who’ve helped advance the region’s workforce development.

The annual event highlights contributions that shape the economic landscape and create opportunities for North Central Texas residents, with local leaders, community stakeholders, and workforce professionals in attendance.

The 2025 honorees included the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce, which was presented the Partner of Excellence Award for its “outstanding collaboration in fostering economic growth and development” in its community, according to a WSNCT media release. The Wylie Economic Development Corporation also received a Partner of Excellence Award.

Other presentations included the WSNCT’s Leadership Achievement Award, Foundation Builders Award, Innovation Catalyst Award, Partner of Excellence Award, and Workforce Champion of the Year awards.

“These honors recognized organizations and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to workforce development, innovation, and community engagement,” according to the media release.

“Today, we celebrate those who are committed to transforming lives and creating a brighter future for families in North Central Texas,” Phedra Redifer, WSNCT executive director, said in remarks at the luncheon. “Our work is more than just job training – it’s about ensuring that every individual in our region has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.”

Redifer underscored the agency’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the workforce in North Central Texas.

“Our work is urgent, and it’s personal,” she said. “Every day, we strive to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families across our 14-county, 9,000-square-mile service area. We are proud to collaborate with such dedicated partners who share our vision and commitment.”
