Waxahachie Farmers Market accepting applications for spring/summer season
The Waxahachie Farmers Market is set to kick off its spring/summer season on Saturday, April 5. Open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, the market will continue through Oct. 18.
Open year-round, the market is wrapping up its fall/winter season, which runs from November through March, with the market closed for facility maintenance in January. During the fall/winter season, the market operates from 9 a.m.-noon.
Located in a renovated vintage agricultural building at 701 Howard Road, the market features dozens of vendors offering a variety of wares that range from fresh produce to baked goods, plants, handcrafted items, and much more.

The city will host its annual meeting for existing vendors at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the Mean Green Conference Room on the first floor of the Charles Beatty Municipal Services Building, 408 N. Rogers St.
Vendor applications are open, and both existing and prospective vendors are encouraged to complete those at their earliest convenience online at www.waxahachie.com/farmersmarket.
The 2025 spring/summer season runs 29 Saturdays ($290 fee), while the fall/spring season will run 17 Saturdays ($170 fee). Fees are due and payable once accepted as a vendor (does not include any applicable food permit fees).
Prospective vendors are encouraged to review the city’s “New Vendor Meeting Presentation” and “New Vendor Orientation Video” to understand how the market operates and the criteria used for product/vendor selection.
“Our goal is to prevent oversaturation of specific products, ensure a diverse selection of locally sourced or handcrafted goods, and remain true to the spirit of the farmers market,” Eleana Tuley, city of Waxahachie downtown redevelopment and historic preservation manager, wrote vendors in a recent email.
